Okay, maybe I'm just stupid or there are too many visions of sugar plums dancing in my head, but how do I make Preview my default PDF viewer?

I view lots of PDF's in Entourage and Safari. Whenever I do, Adobe Acrobat takes an excruciating amount of time to load before I can view these documents.

Is there a way to set Preview as the default?

Select a PDF file, and use Cmd-I to show the Inspector. Click the "Open with:" disclosure triangle, select Preview from the popup menu. Then click "Change All...".

Thanks zachs! That works great for files on the desktop. But PDF files that get e-mailed to me, or those I open in Safari are still using Adobe Acrobat. I'll keep trying.

Thanks again.

If you save one of the files you get e-mailed to your desktop and use zachs' tip with that file, it should work.
