Hi!

I have a 160GB Seagate Hard Drive which was connected via a USB 2.0 casing earlier and it used to show up a eject button in the panther finder sidebar since it was an external drive.

Now I have connected the drive to an Internal Acard PCI ATA 133 AEC-6280M controller. But it still shows the eject button, which I do not want. Also disk utility shows the drive as External Drive.

It's a bug. Drives attached via Firewire, USB or a PCI controller will show as removable. Worse, if you logout, they will dismount. You can SSH in and try to access the drives and they will be gone.

I opened a Radar bug report on it, but it has not been fixed yet. (I haven't tried it in 10.3.2, but I assume that's what you're talking about)
