Where does iTunes visualizer hide its resources?

... all I want to do is hack the visualizer to delete a single colour scheme that I don't like.
I've tried to hunt down the library or resource files (visible or otherwise) that the visualizer uses for patterns and colour schemes but I can't find 'em. Does anyone know where they can be found or how to hack the visualizer in this way?
TIA

There is no ressources because it's computed on the fly.
I reckon there should be more preferences, tho.

Well they've got to be somewhere b/c it's not completely random. There are only a finite series of patterns and colour schemes. You can see this is you toggle on the onscreen display while the visualizer is running.
"Basic" is the name of the scheme I want to delete. I've tried all teh tricks I can think of to locate where these files are stored (if indeed they are stored as separate files which is an assumption on my part). No luck, thought I'd check here to see if anyone else knew.

Look in
/Applications/iTunes/Contents/Resources/English.lproj/Localized.rsrc, iST#4004. Your string "Basic" is there along with the other effect names.
That'll let you change the (English) name that is displayed, but not remove it.
Have you tried comparing the itunes data against the g-force data to find the exact bits of the effect you don't like?

The iTunes visualizer is a "lite" version of G-Force, so I suggest you download G-Force since that has editable sets.

Useful info, thank you both. I had figured from the screenshots of G-Force that it just called the same resources but was unaware that it was more customizable. I will give it a try.

It's actually not related to G-Force at all. It is a version of Melt-O-Rama that was a plug-in for SoundJam before Apple bought SoundJam and turned it into iTunes.

In "About iTunes" the last item listed says they licensed G-Force.

In the iTunes visualizer, I'd like to:
- increase the size of the cover art
- increase the size of the text font
The current dimensions appear to be 128x128 with a 12 point font. Perhaps 240x240 (or even larger) and an 18 point font would be nice, so they could both be easily recognizable and readable from a short distance (like from a barstool to behind the bar).
:-)
Has anyone seen any hacks for that?

I guess yer right. The melt-o-rama plugin was very similar to the itunes visualizer, plus one of the presets is called melt-o-rama. That's what led me to believe that.

I tend to think most visualizers are pretty much the same, anyway. It's kind of hard to be completely original when drawing psychedelic blobs to the screen.
