Related to this thread. I'm setting up my GSM phone for data use.

I hooked up at "2400 bps" but it seems WAY faster. Does it actually mean 2400 Bytes/s (aka 19.2 kbps)?

GPRS seems faster by the way, but I haven't tested the speed yet.

Yeah, I've noticed the same thing when I connect with my Ericsson T68. I don't think the 2400 bps figure is accurate, but I don't know what's going on.
