Like 20 minutes to open. In 10.2.4 without any mods. Any ideas?

Even after 10.2.8 update, just now, same deal. Also, I'm still getting random kernel panics.

The machine is brand new. No extra RAM or anything to go wrong.

Help Center sucked in 10.2.x. It's much better in Panther.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!

Just trash the prefs! It works so stable after that.
