I am trying to get mpg321 (not 123) running in tcsh. However, it has dependencies on mad (ftp://ftp.mars.org/pub/mpeg/) and libao (http://www.xiph.org/ogg/vorbis/download/). mad installed fine using the included instructions, but libao did not include any instructions. I tried compiling it with the standard:

./configure
make
sudo make install

and I got several errors. If anyone can help, that would be great. mpg321 is here: http://mpg321.sourceforge.net/

What errors?

You most likely have to change something in the configure script, make file, or some such in order to port it to Darwin---since the errors indicate that nobody has done this already for you (otherwise, the configure, make, make install would have worked)

are the errors i get at the end when i try to make it.
