First-off... there are two things here.
DUPLICATION: Is generally the term for making DVD-R media burns of the original disc. It uses the dye-based media burned in a DVD burner.
REPLICATION: Is where they EXTRACT the data from your "Master" and RE-Burn it to a Glass Master which creates a stamper, which in return stamps the impression into clear polycarbonate discs which gets coated with aluminum, etc.
What YOU are looking for is DUPLICATION, because REPLICATION costs are astronomical for such a short run. Most places wont even touch a replication job under 5,000-10,000 pcs.
I do know a place. Call 1-800-617-3877 and ask for Dave. The company is Superdups and they do BOTH types. Duplication takes a little longer, but is MUCH cheaper.
Tell him Scott Finlayson (me) referred you. You *might* get a better price, you might not. Dunno.

Along the same lines of this post but on a smaller scale, is there a way to duplicate an iDVD without having to reload the project, orignial pictures/movies, etc.?
I currently make my iDVD, burn 5 or so copies for family, then burn a second DVD that holds the project file, plus all the files I created to make it.
No big huge deal, but if I wanted to then burn a 6th dvd, I'd have to reload everything, hope I put them in the right directory structure, etc. For something done recently, easy. But if I want to recreate my 2002 iDVD, I have to write instructions on where I put everything!
It would be nice to be able to just make a copy from my existing iDVD...

I'm not really an expert in the field, but could you just use Disk Copy to make an image of a finished DVD, then burn however many copies you wanted? Or maybe Toast?

You can definately copy a non-copy protected DVD such as an iDVD using toast. I've done it.

Excellent suggestions - I make CD images all the time, but didn't even consider that course of action for the DVD!
Thanks - I'll give the image a try, but it's nice to know that I can at the very least do this with Toast!
