I was setting up my Mac on my company's network. We have a File Server which is available via an AppleShare. While setting up, I connected to the server, no problem. Sometime during the installation, the computer crashed, and now, whenever I log in, there is a window that comes up when I log in. The window is the standard window shown when you attempt to log onto the file server normally, however you cannot enter information into the window, and cannot click the buttons on the window. You can only move the window around by its title bar. This is obviously quite annoying, as you always have a window open.
We have had this occur on two other computers, but have never been able to find out how this happens. The other times this has occurred, we have had to create a new user, and delete the old one, and move them over. Obviously, this is alot of work, and is very much a hassle.
Has anyone run into anything similar, and if so, were you able to find a way to fix this once it happened?
I'm fairly sure there is a file somewhere that has the connection's settings in it, because when the window comes up, the username and server name are entered, and it is waiting for the password, which you cannot enter. If anyone knows where I might look for this file, that would also be helpful.
This is under 10.3.2.
