When playing all audio files through the finder, mp3 wav etc.... the all play distorted.

However when playing them through any other App, iTunes Quicktime etc... they play back just fine.

The problem arose after installing Garageband and playing around with my guitar using a Pre-Amp.

I have just the basics like unplugging everything and repairing disk permissions etc... but the problem wont go away.

I really dont think i have damaged my soundcard or any other parts on the board as all the other audio plays fine through any other app. Just the finder that's playing up !!

lol..... i can't believe it this is just a so simle fix, just adjust the volume in the finder preview window down a little and playback is perfect

Adjusting the volume to the max in the preview window is also perfect now !!
