Got a prob gettin thru this bit,g4 powerbook running panther wants authentication password,i dont have this and due to the circumstances with my ex wife nor am i likely to get it,any ideas?pleasepleaseplease

so is it your ex-wifes or one you bought used?

my guess is neither.

and you can easily RESET a password using the installer CD... but not knowing the original is going to make the person who actually *does* own the computer a bit miffed that you changed their password for whatever inane reason.
