Hi,

whenver sending a newest-version Word.doc via Mail to a PC (XP) recipient the .doc can't be opened. When I send this .doc to my other Mac, receive it with Entourage - no problem. Forwarded to the PC - no problem.

So either it is Mail.app or the mail account (GMX) or whatever. Windows-compatible mode is ON, zipping everything is annoying.

Where's the bug/solution?

In Mail.app, make sure any attachments being sent to PC users are added at the end of all the text. Don't add any text after attaching the files.
Seems to solve similar issues for me.

If you are running Panther, add attachments by clicking Attach in the Mail.app toolbar (not by drag'n'drop), and you will see a checkbox to "Send Windows Friendly Attachments." Make sure it is checked. That should do the trick.

Thanks but as I've written: this IS checked and doesn't trick anything...
