Crap!!! OSX Update lost my LaserWriter 12/640 PS

Just great. It worked before the update. Now my computer can't find my printer. "Printer not responding".

I have a G5 Dual 1.8 Ghz with a Apple LaserWriter 12/640 PS. It worked yesterday and now it won't work.

I even tried swapping out the ethernet cable.

I hope they fix this quick. I can't print.

Can any other machine see it? It's possible (though improbable) that the printer just picked an inopportune time to die.

you've checked your appletalk settings right? 'cause that's an appletalk printer. i suppose it's possible the update disabled appletalk...

...Unless he had it set up to print via IP (the 12/640 PS can print via LPR just fine - that's how I print to mine).

how do you do that? or can you point me in a direction that can explain that? my parents have a 12/640 PS and i don't particularly like using appletalk...
