One thing I've noticed, if you enable the 'Classic Menu' for starting and stopping classic (in the Classic preference pane), the menu will also feature a listing of the Apple Menu Items folder from your Classic System Folder (while being able to launch programs aswell). Well one can also place OS X programs in the Apple Menu items folder and those, become launchable aswell. Quite handy for those who find it a pain to use the dock.
