I found this on the NetBSD site. And it was Mac OS X compatible. Over 4000 applications in it !!

What do you think ? Anyone tried it...

It's great, use it all the time... on NetBSD, got no idea how well it works with OS X. I think the OS X compatibility claim refers to the package tools and I suspect very few of the packages would have been tested/ported to OS X. I think you're better off sticking with DarwinPorts or Fink.

I was a NetBSD user before I switched to Mac OS X. NetBSD's pkgsrc is simply awesome but I have never tried it on Mac OS X.

I am also using FreeBSD, so I like the idea of Darwin far better than Fink. On the other hand, I couldn't compile certain packets (in my case ImageMagick), so that I had to resort to Fink. Worked fine.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.
