I have an old G3 Beige minitower sitting in my room running 10.1.whatever, on my network, over ethernet. It is assigned an IP by my router. I can login via Apple Remote Desktop from my PBG4 and transfer files to and from the computer. It will NOT, however, access the internet. I open up IE, and it says "page cannot be found". What is the problem?

You might need to manually add the DNS servers.

Try visiting this site and see if it works:
http://17.254.3.183/

If this loads Apple's homepage, log into your router and somewhere in there it should list the DNS address consisting of all numbers in the form of "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx".

Go back to your Mac, add this server to the Network control panel in System Preferences and you should be set.

If that site above didn't work I have no idea

Hope this helps!
