I am running Panther 10.3.2 and Mail with Earthlink isp. I can send email over my wireless cable internet connection at home, but cannot send email over dial-up modem connection at work. I keep getting a request for keychain smtp server password on dial-up connection. I attempt to enter password in error message and it will not take it. Very weird issue. Any suggestions as to solution are appreciated.

It may be a matter of your dialup ISP not allowing outgoing mail from other ISP accounts. For example, you may not be able to send mail from an Earthlink dialup account over a Verizon DSL connection.
If you're using an "ISP independent" email service, though, (like .Mac, Hotmail, etc) it should be OK.

You have to make a small change to accomplish this.
