Hey all,

I tried searching the forums, but the database isn't working, so I am going ahead and posting this.

I just installed Panther on my PB, and now I want to create a backup CD of each installation CD. My problem is that I don't know how to do this now that Disk Copy is gone from the Utilities folder.

All I need are simple directions on how to create the bootable install CDs in case I misplace mine, thanks,

Uisce

Disk Copy is not really gone....its functions have been rolled into a "new" utility called "Disk Utility" - from there you should see the "create image" and "burn" functions.

Yes, I found that. You have to select the CD, then go to the menu and copy it to a new disk image, then burn that image. Simple once you figure it out.

Look on www.macosxhints.com for "Panther DVD" and you can make a single-DVD installer for Panther, instead of the annoying multiple-disc situation. Of course, this assumes your PB can burn DVDs or that you have access to one.
