Hello, im trying to get gimp 2 running on my mac and i need to install fontconfig. This comes with xfree86 v4.3, but i have v4.2 (apple binaries). The fink package maintainer decided not to offer it as a seperate package because of this. So my question is, is there an (easy / well explained) way for me to install fontconfig without fink, or should i just upgrade to xfree86 v4.3? and if upgrading, is it going to cause incompatibilities with my current programs? thanks in advance.
also noticed the package was available on darwinports, so i suppose i could install darwinports, but i have questions on fink compatibility with that so if you think its best that i go that route I'll come back with more questions
