Hello I just upgraded to Panther.

I get the following error when I boot and log in to my account.

The application "Transport Monitor" could not be launched because of a shared library error: "8<Transport Monitor><Transport Monitor><HotSyncLib.PPC><>"

I have no idea what the transport monitor is or what it does or if this is areal problem.

I am not using hot sync.

When I upgraded I did the archive option. I did repair disk permissions after the upgrade. Other than that my install is only hours old.

What is this error and how can I fix it?

Thanks,
FrozenTundra

This is due to the fact that prior to the archive and install, you had the Palm software installed. It puts a few applications in your login items. After the archive and install, some of the stuff needed by those applications is missing. Therefore, they can't open. If you don't have a palm pilot and don't use the palm software, remove the two palm related items from your user's login items. If you do have a palm pilot or would like to use the palm software, you will need to reinstall it.
