Is there a way of sending a URL link from within safari without having to select it and going through the services?
Something like a toolbar button in Safari would really be great!
It should be there, no?

Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.

Why shouldn't it be?
Why need to go so many steps?
Haven't always proud ourselves as Mac users of simplicity and efficiency?

Click on the link icon in the address bar, to the left of http://, drag link to awaiting new e-mail. You can even drag and drop using Exposé or if you can see the link behind the new email window, command click and drag it to insert it into the composition without briging the Safari window to the front.

javascript:location.href='mailto:?SUBJECT='+docume nt.title+'&BODY='+escape(location.href)
Or, a slightly different version, which I've been using with great success (all on one line):
javascript:location.href='mailto:x@x.com?SUBJECT=' +document.title+%20'&BODY='+document.title+'%5 Cn%3C'+escape(location.href)+'%3E'
