Got some trouble... Please answer my hypothetical post

Say i was to install a pirated version of photoshop 7 on OS X, but PS 7 talks to bigbrother.adobe.com quite a lot, and the pirated serial gets banned, disabling the app... I may or may not be looking for a way around this, like some way of stopping them talking, or fooling it somehow...

can anyone help?

Not that I condone pirated software or anything, but there is an application that allows you to monitor which apps talk to who. It's called Little Snitch and the link is: http://www.obdev.at/products/littlesnitch/

Little Snitch is an excellent choice for controlling applications undesired access to the internet.

And that's all I have to say about that.

Is there anything similar for windows, I wonder....?
