I just recently installed the latest and greatest update via Software Update. Now if Mail does anything with junk Mail, the folder or marking something as junk mail it automatically quits. It is getting totally ridiculous.
Has anyone else had this problem? And if so, have they found a solution? I am beginning to think that Virex might have also screwed up Mail during its recent scan. Since that was the last action done before I shutdown the night before last.
HELP!!

This is a known problem with Mail since 10.3.0. There is problem with the junk filter file getting corrupted. A temporary fix is to trash the ~/Library/Mail/LSMMap2 file and then restart Mail. You will lose all of your training data, but Mail should work. Problem is, the file will likely get corrupted again. It's gotten so bad for me, that I've disabled Junk Mail completely.
I think everyone affected by this bug is hoping the 10.3.3 update will fix the problem.

Delete the "LSMMap2" file from the following lacation:
Macintosh HD/Users/User_Name/Library/Mail/LSMMap2
Simply drag the "LSMMap2" file to the Trash and delete the trash.
Now re-launch Mail.app and see if it corrects your problem for the time being....
