How do I add the equivalent of a local hosts file entry? I need to mask an external name to map to an internal IP and I have no idea where to start. I imagine that NetInfo Manager has something to do with it, but that's all I know.

I find my own answer here: http://www.oreillynet.com/cs/user/view/cs_msg/18893

The article talks about something else primarily, but the first paragraph addresses this exact issue.
