Please help me. My G4 Cube running OSX 10.1.5 will not stop popping, clicking and stalling on mouse movement. It's driving me nuts. I Tried zapping the P Ram but that didn't work. Short of installing a new system, is there anything else I can do? Any advice would be much appreciated. LL

Let me guess? you have 10.1.5, and USB audio speakers, probably the pro speakers that came with the cube, 10.1.5 always has had problems with US B Audio devices, i had the same problem with my soundsticks, and they used to kernel panic the machine as soon as i used my Airport card to upload. I think you should be getting OS 10.2 or 10.3 (recommended) you will probably find that 10.3 will breath new life into your machine.

You haven't upgraded your system software since Wed, Jun, 5 2002.

You should click on this link and buy OS X 10.3 and install it on your computer.

but doublel9 asked "Short of installing a new system, is there anything else I can do?".

How long have the problems been going on? What external devices are plugged into your computer? Have you installed any third party internal devices?

You could create a new user and log into it to see if the problem is within your current user's folder. Go to "System Preferences" and click on the "Users" icon to create a new user.

If the problems go away, then it might be something located within your "hard drive>users>home folder>library>preferences" folder.
