i have an ibook 800, 348 MB, powerpc g3, mac osx 10.2.8 and os 9.2.2 system but i don't have any sound whatsoever. can anyone help??? please???

Reboot and hold down (before the computer makes the startup sound) the keys

command-option-p-r

Keep holding these keys until you hear the startup sound three times.

After that procedure, but happy. Sound is back!

Has your machine been repaired recently? They may have forgotten to plug the speakers back in when they put the top case kit back on.
