iMac, os 10.2.6

This problem's starting to vex me a little.

When I dial up (clicking connect, from the phone icon top right of menu bar) when I do connect, the counter showing time connected appears, but remains at 00.00.00 even though I am connected.

I've searched the forums - there seem to be similar modem issues in Jaguar, but not this exact one - any offers?

Help much appreciated.

I don't use a modem, newcomer, so I wouldn't know about that issue. However, Internet Connect received a nice little update in Panther, and I think it would likely be backward compatible. And don't worry, if it doesn't work you'll still be able to use the older version. On another topic, if you're still sitting on the fence about upgrading to Panther I would suggest it. I sat on the fence for awhile, while the major bugs were being dealt with. Even though I don't like some of the design decisions Apple has made, Panther is a great upgrade and is faster than Jaguar on my iBook 466.
