Ever since I switched my wireless network over to use WEP security (128-bit), every time I fast-user-switch to another user the wireless connection is dropped and I have to manually choose the network again from the menu bar dropdown. I'm using a G5 with an airport extreme card and 10.3.2. Has anyone seen this problem and better yet know how to fix it? I saw mention of some problem like this that was fixed by the most recent airport extreme firmware updates, but I think I have the latest.
Thanks!

Does the other user have their Network preferences set to join a specific network?
If not, do so in the Network Preference Pane, in the "AirPort" tab. (The "By default, join:" menu.)

Thanks for the suggestion. I thought for sure that would fix the problem. Once you mentioned it, it seemed to make perfect sense. The other user I was switching to did not have a default wireless network set so I set that to the same one I was using by default. Unfortunately, it still seemed to cut the connection each time. It also doesn't automatically connect when I restart the machine I log in - even though its set to do so. This worked before I turned on WEP security.

I have been experiencing similar problems, I think it has something to do with the 10.3.2 update, my WEP settings have not changed for quite a while. I am using a linksys WAP11 with 64 bit encryption and an iBook 700.

It's good to know I'm not the only one. Maybe the 10.3.3 will resolve the issue.

I haven't experienced this problem, using a Netgear router. I do on occasion get my connection dropped for about fifteen seconds, unless I have turned off WEP. And that was an issue before I upgraded to Panther.
Aside for the given topic, Mac users should really reconsider supporting Linksys, a company which refuses to give even token support to the Mac. It wouldn't cost them anything at all - since they're building an industry standard device - save for a couple of lines of text acknowledging Mac compatiblity. Yet they explicitly deny us service. . .
