I saw on a site somewhere (Don't remember now, that's why I am asknig for help) that there is a companion program for ichat that will "stalk" users, like track when they were online/offline, queue up messages that will automatically send as soon as the user comes online, etc..

but I can't find this program anywehre.. anybody know what I am talknig about?

maybe the "stalking" part is scary

but it adds functions that normal people would use.. i use ICQ also and it allows you to send offline messages, so it gets queue up at the server.. but ichat don't allow this.. so this program adds that functionality

if you use gaim through X11, you can "buddy pounce" people. you make the message, and the next time the person logs in, it sends them the message. very handy.

this is true. I'm not sure about annoying...but you have a point. but...you know how girls are and thier IM's... at least the one's that I know are freaks about getting thier IM's. And non computer types are prone to see thier IM's before emails.
