Apparently I'm an idiot and was somehow missing the "Burn" button and hitting the "New Image" button instead.

Are you sure? I've never had the need to do so; however, I've heard of other successes just fine...

Just tried it, didn't seem to recognize it as a disk image, wanted to put it into a .dmg as a file or something.
