Hey, I just uninstalled the Office X test drive to install my purchased physical copy of Offic X. Everything was going fine until the icon for my Applications folder shortcut at the top of the ffinder window disappeared. Now I can't seem to get it back. Any ideas?

Did you try View->Customze Toolbar in Finder? try to drag the default set of icons on the toolbar... (i'm assuming you are running Jaguar because you are talking about an Application icon at the top of the Finder window)

Yeah, that was the first thing I tried. The icon in the customization pane is the same as the one at the top of the finder window, that is it is just a blank document. Yes, you are right I'm running Jaguar, sorry I should have said that before. Thanks for the help.

Oh. The icon is still there then, but not the right one...
You need to delete the Finder cache files... Don't remember the exact name under Jaguar (running Panther now) but try this in terminal :

rm -f ~/Library/Preferences/LS* ~/Library/Preferences/.LS*

and logout/login. It should fix the problem if my memory is not too bad
