OK,
I have a PCi G4 (Yikes) 350 model, i am running a PCi Radeon 7000 64mb originally a PC PCI crad that was flashed for mac.
Card works fine all was well until, i installed the 10.3 drivers from ATI site, after doing so certain installer application (such as apple update installers and the powermate installer) crash every time cannot install. But everything else works fine.
I have checked the drives with disk utils and have run disk permission fix and all other maintenace scripts, this was a fresh install of Panther only things installed on it are:
office X
Panther update 10.3.2
and then the ATi drivers
after that could no longer install other apps like photoshop cs or powermate driver and not even the isync update, they all just crash.
Help please.

ATI does not have "drivers" released for 10.3. The latest drivers come with 10.3. There is something else going on with your system, and that is likely just a coincidence.
Just so that you don't respond with a "yes I did install them look for yourself," here's the page:
ATI Radeon 7000 Mac Software
All that installed is an application to adjust settings. There is no driver update yet for 10.3.

Thanks for the feedback, but it did also update ATITVOUT.kext, getting rid of that file fixed things, but I guess my card was actually tuying to take adavatage of this as it is the sapphire 64mb ATI with DVI/ S video and std VGA.

Quite interesting. You'd think that if they were going to update drivers, they would tell you they were updating drivers. Sorry for the confusion.
