Of course I use a mac, and have since the first one.
but I have a friend who insisted for no real reason to start with a Dell running windows XP Ive tried my best to set this up for him, and aafter many hurdles, it works well enough.
realizing its never goning to be a Mac, Im looking for a place where I can ask some questiong is a forum like this one, ie a serious place for window users.
is there one?
at the moment XP seems to be removing all the attachments from they email. this seems to be an attemp to block the insipient virology of that operating sysystem.
Id like to help them unblock the ones they want, ie from me , etc.
thanks
hope everybody understands this delema.
there second computer will be a mac no doubt, about the time the iMacs have G5's
thanks rotut

If it's Outlook Express go to Tools menu, Options, Security, deselect the "Do not allow attachments...." check box. That should do it!

Outlook also blocks attachments. There are some freeware/shareware solutions as I don't think Outlook will let you disable some or all of this "feature."
You can email me and I think I have one around here if needed,

Not ,,,very,,, many forums for \\\Windows\\\ users that are ***as*** good as the !!!Mac!!! ones. _No_ sense of ***community*** IMHO. But they post topics in the correct areas.

If you don't know what something is, go to google.com, and search for it. The first result for "IMHO" is "The Jargon Dictionary: abbrev. (from SF Fandom via Usenet) for In My Humble Opinion".
Search engines like Google are a great resource, and people will often reply with things such as RTFM or STFW if you don't put effort into answering your own questions before asking them. Mac users historically don't say such things, but there is a little Linux-type culture leaking in, and I personally think it's a good way to save time and effort.
