This happens with my iPod and any Disk Images. After I eject them (using any of the eject methods), the drive disappears from the desktop, but it stays on the left panel in the Finder windows. If I click "eject", I get a message that the drive is not available. Only a log out/in fixes this.

Any help?

It appears to be a bug in Panther. I've had this happen too. Maybe 10.3.3 will fix it...
