i can share my win files with my mac, but i haven't been able to get my mac shared files to show up in windows. so far, i've just placed files i wanted to send to the mac in a win shared folder which i can access on the mac. i do this in reverse to send to the pc. but it's redundant work, and i'm sure there's a better way to do it. thanks for any tips.
running panther and xp pro sp1.

I'm not on my XP box right now, so I'll do the best I can from memory for the XP part:

On the Mac...
1.) Open System Preferences. Open the Sharing pane.
2.) In the Sharing pane, go to the Services tab. Check Windows Sharing. Note the address following "Windows users can access your computer at...".

On the PC...
1.) Go to Start Menu. Click Find.
2.) On the left, choose "Find People or Computers".
3.) Search for the address you noted above. (Should be something like "\\your.ip.address.here\yourusername")
4.) The Mac *should* show up in the results, Double-click it, enter your password.

Try RsyncX. I've never used it so I don't know if it's what you want, or if it works.

Edit: I forgot to add that if you go to My Computer, you can just type the address from System Preferences into the location bar.
