hello all.
i got a PB 17 with an 80 gigs drive. I wanted to partition it in two the other day using the idisk utility but it said that the drive contained the boot something so i couldnt partition it.

What shall i go as i really dont want to swap 40 gigs of Mp3s again from my PC next time i reinstall the OS.

Thanks a lot in advance.
its a fact that im dope.

iDisk? You mean Disk Utility, right?

Anyway, in order to partition your drive, you'll need to boot off a CD (or other source) to do so. You'll also lose all data on those drives if you don't back them up first.

Finder > Help >Mac Help
