Hi,

I have some aliases of some folders that are stored on network shares. My question is, how can I make it so when I double click the alias, it mounts the share automatically, like in OS 9?

Thanks!

I have been using it just as you describe for some time now and it works flawlessly.

When you double click the alias for the first time it automatically mounts the network share.

I found out it works for Appletalk shares, but not SMB.

Any ideas?

Sounds like there's something off with your configuration. I do that with my powerbook at work all the time. It usually takes a second while it authenticates me to the network but it does work eventually. What type of windows network is it?

It's just windows 2000 with the sharing on for a drive. Note that it does not show up in the browser - I have to enter the IP to make it work. Also, even though I say add to keychain, it never remembers the login or pass.
