I tried to make a bootable application cd of some of my aps put together just so i dont have to shuffle all my cds around. Ive made bootables before and have had no problem. When i tried to boot from my newly created disk i had a severe kernel panic and now my mac wont boot from any cd. I tried to boot diskwarrior and no go. Tried to use diskwarrior to rebuild my other 2 hd's and it failed due to an OS error. What do i need to do??????? im freakin out here.

Try zapping the PRAM. Command-Option-P-R at startup. If that doesn't work, boot into Open Firmware by holding down Command-Option-O-F at startup and type the following commands:

reset-nvram
set-defaults
reset-all

See if that helps.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!
