(this has been discussed on a few threads over the past four months, so I thought it made sense to start a clean "fix" thread).
A lot of people were hung out to dry when Panther came out, because of an error that crashes Sawtooth machines with GeForce2MX cards and >256MB of RAM installed. Apple-supplied cards were not immune. GeForce4MX cards were also affected, but they got fixed in 10.3.2.
For some reason, Twinview GeForce2MX cards also started to work in 10.3.2. This left the rest of us out to dry until someone on the Apple support forum (thomas von Beughem) figured out that you can load the Twinview's ROM on a standard GF2 card. Panther thinks you have a twinview (even though you don't), and everything works - Quartz Extreme is enabled & >256MB of RAM on the motherboard.
This worked for me using an Asus v7100 GeForce2MX, but YMMV. You'll need OS9, a copy of the Twinview ROM (1075) and a copy of your old rom just in case things don't work out. You can download the ROM an AppleScript "installer" from here:

Standard warnings about flashing roms apply. Post here if it fixed your card. Good luck!
