Hi,

I'm using Panther on a bondi iMac . An old (functioning) HP 5L is connected via USB to Parallel cable. The iMac Works great, but the printer doesn't respond to print jobs.

Adding the printer was not difficult. I option-clicked the add button in printer setup and was able to add my HP Laserjet 5L.

Problem is, I send a page to print but sadly my pages never come out. Status window just says "printer not responding."

Any ideas how to troubleshoot this?

I also seem to remember that the printer must be connected and on at boot - otherwise CUPS won't recognise it (or something.)
