This happens on a PowerBook G4 867. It has the latest OS, and all the needed updates. The computer KPs a lot. I tried to run the Repair Permissions option from Disk Utility, but half way through it gives a Kernel Panic.

I started up from the Panther CD, and ran Disk Utility from there, and it worked then. So basically it crashes in the user environment only. As far as I know nothing special has been installed on the system. Anyone else has any ideas?

I have reset the nvram, I have repaired permissions, ran Disk Warrior...so I am kind fo clueless right now.

Can only be a hardware issue. Begin with removing the RAM you added recently and see if that helps.
