A friend of mine owns an eMac...he wants to hook it up to a Wireless network and was thinking about doing it through the USB port.
Can someone suggest some Wireless USB adapters that would work with the Mac/OSX?
Thanks,
t

Running a Belkin F5D6050 USB Wireless adaptor plugged into my powerbook right now. It didnt ship with a drivers, but its a free download off the Belkin website. They're fairly cheap to - £30gbp

Why does he want to go USB? There are a number of platform-independent ethernet adapters out there that offer good performance. I have a D-Link node adapter that works on both my Macs and my PS2. They're not too expensive and don't require any drivers at all.

Why not just drop in an AirPort card? They're only slightly more pricey than a USB or ethernet adapter, and obviously will have no compatibility issues.

I would go with an Ethernet adapter, myself, if only because they don't require drivers. USB-based adapters can also have some rather adverse effects on your machine's performance if the network load gets too high.
The other advantage to Ethernet adapters comes in if you have game consoles; you can usually use these to hook them into an existing wireless network. That will come in handy if your friend ever decides to go for an AirPort card, because he can reuse the adapter for something else.

Use USB networking as a last resort. If you have the ability to use internal networking (and ALL eMacs have an Airport or Airport Extreme slot), USE IT!
