I love my Macs. I've had a strawberry iMac DV for about 4 years, and a lime iBook for about three. I had gotten used to them, took them for granted. The iMac was at work, iBook at home.
Then last month, I bought Panther, and an iPod. Panther has rekindled my love of Macintosh. In the space of two weeks, I also bought a 17" flat-panel iMac to use at work, brought the old iMac home, and traded up my lime iBook for a new 12" iBook G4 to use wirelessly around the house or on the road.
To me, Panther is like having two complete OS's in the same box. Better than some dual-boot system, because they both run at the same time, and talk to each other!
The Mac GUI I love for it's ease-of-use and effectiveness. Everything just works. And Unix inside, I love for being able to tinker with, do the *nix things I can do at work. (Just last night I compiled and installed a console-based ICQ client, 'micq', works great!)
Now I want to convince my friends and family to 'see the light', to share the joy.
Sorry for gushing.
Macs Rule!
