I have a few apps (like Adobe Pagemaker 7.0) that run in Classic. Whenever my 15" TiBook awakens from sleep, I am unable to open these applications. After clicking on them, their icon simply "bounces" in the dock but it does not open. I don't get the spinning beach ball or anything. The only "fix" seems to force quit Classic. Then, when I click on the app to open it, Classic restarts and the application opens fine.

I never had this problem until after I installed Panther. Anybody have any suggestions as to what the problem might be?

I'm not sure about the pattern you're experiencing but FWIW (and since I've also got 15" Tibook running Panther & using PM 6.5):
PM & Classic are generally quite stable. But sometimes if I leave them "running" in background (or just Classic) while working in other apps, they will "disappear".
I usually quit PM when I'm not actively working in it (because it sucks cpu cycles even so bad (even with no docs open) and keeps things hot). Still, sometimes when I attempt to restart PM, I'll discover that Classic had quit at some time.

Not same problem you have, but maybe connected to some underlying instability of Classic?

PS: since adobe is offering a special on InDesign for PM users, I'm sure looking at that now so that I can forget about Classic forever! ( I think it was for about $300) http://www.adobe.com/products/indesign/pm_ind.html
