Hi All,

I'd like my iBook (running OSX 10.3.2) to connect via Airport to the internet, but via ethernet to my LAN. Unfortunately, the iBook defaults to ethernet for both LAN access and internet access (fyi: I want to connect to the net via airport because the airport router is on a different, faster, network connection than my LAN).

Thanks in advance for any help.

Chas

I'm assuming your putting your laptop onto 2 different subnets. If thats the case, you want to assign both your ip address statically. On the one that you do not want to use for interent access, leave the default gateway empty. If that doesn't work for you (which it should) you have a to define some routes in your routing table, but try that first and let me know if it doesn't work.

Blackbook 13.3 Powerhouse 2 GB RAM
MacMini Dual Core 2 GB RAM (Sadly running Windows Most of the time)
Numerouse Workstations running windows and Linux. Sorry don't have the specs, I don't pay much attention to them anymore. :)
