I am having a weird problem. When i try to view a quicktime movie in Safari or Mozilla 1.6 , I get a missing extension sign (the quicktime icon but broken) and the message that quicktime is unable to get the required software from the quicktime server. I tried reinstalling quicktime 6.5 and deleting the plugin in internet prefs but to no avail. I have tried different websites, even the quicktime site but always the same problem. I have an iBook 640Mb Ram, 800MhzG4 with 10.3.2 (I also deleted the safari cache).
Please help someone!

If you go in Safari's Help->Installed Plug-ins, do you see Quicktime 6.5?

Sorry to take so long to reply. Yes I checked that the plugin is listed in the Safari plugins. What else can I check? Thanks for your help
