This has got me stumped; I have added a couple of shell accounts to my PowerBook for use with CVS over SSH for each of my co-workers. Now all of these appear in the login window and the fast user switching menu. Is there any way to stop them from appearing there? I don't want them there, it clutters things up and I'm a big fan of neatness.
Thanks in advance.

open NetInfo Manager and change their UID so it's below 500, making sure you don't allocate another users UID. you should be totally safe with 100-500, as i'm pretty sure OS X doesn't allocate UID's above 100 for system accounts?

Accounts aren't shown if they have a uid of <500 (or is that <1000 these days?).

Oh and note that you'll have to chown their home directories to them again, rpobably.

Why not just show the Name/Password box then, instead of a list of users?!?

Because then you have you type in your username which takes longer than simply clicking your name obviously
