Wanted to share my joy at the fact that 10.3.3 at long last brings FULL functionality to my Creative Soundblaster MP3+ USB audio interface. I expect that means other interfaces have increased support, too.

I can now treat the audio as an input or output just like any other, including controlling the volume from my keyboard. For anyone looking for a cheap way into USB audio, now's the time. If you've ever tried to record audio into your powerbook through the built-in ports and got shoddy results, you won't believe how much nicer it is through USB.

Enough selling – just to let you know it works!

Sweetness. I use a Roland UA-30. Hopefully this will help with various issues I've been having.

i use a ua-30. other than it being fundamentally cheap and kind of noisy, i have no complaints. what issues are you experiencing?

I have the occasional problem with it's settings shifting, to 8 bit for example. It's also slow to take effect now (silence before it starts working,) but I think that has to do with me having optical out to my speakers.

It is old so I've been eyeing some new audio options like the M-Audio Audiophile USB or FireWire Audiophile. Or just wait and use the optical out if I get a G5.
