Hi everyone,

Well OS X 10.3.3 Server and client was released yesterday and I bounced right at it like everyone else. !!!

Donno what is better yet but I am happy whenever imrpovements come out 'cause the finder sure needs help and we got some.

Since Mac Os X and that F$! terminal appeared... oh boy now I am really trying to be a geek.

Anyway I am all involved to try to understand networking services better and having to run Mac Os X Server means dealying with DNS (Bind dor the real geeks) through the Server Admin application.

Ok so I have thousands of questions but let's start from the top.

Question One
Authorathive & NonAuthorathive DNS Servers.

"Non Authorative"
I understand this is an example of DNS Server running in a Private Address Network (Intranet). Wich means the IP of the individual machines starts with 192.168.* or 10.0.1.* or anything in between.

"Authorathive"
Means that you are in an enviroment with static IP and that you could be an DNS Server outside your own network.

So,

If you have a mixed enviroment and the server is running a dns server both Authorathive for the mail.example.com server and the www.example.com and NonAuthorative for the internal network, can you have it all under one zone ?

Thanks
