Is there anyway to have the Page Setup settings 'stick' per program?

For instance ....

in iPhoto, I always want it to print out on a certain printer using 4x6" paper type.

But when I change this, does it remain this setting for just iPhoto, or does it change for the rest of hte programs also?

I tried doing this, but I think my result was that the next time I opened iPhoto, the setting either changed back to something else .....

any clues on how to make each program have it's own page setup preferences?
