i now have to click three buttons to connect to a network share, when the 10.3 pre 10.3.3 one was so nice with just one big button click 'guest' now it takes haveing to move the cursor the guest tiny button , then back to accept then select a site folder then go to the side bar to see the folder. sigh, !
The other one was so simple it just flowed with panther. Has any one made a hack yet to get it back ?

Not that I've heard of yet. But, then again, it wasn't released that long ago, so maybe there will be eventually.

Sure -
applescript://com.apple.scripteditor...table%20URL%29
delete the
from the final code (VB adds it to split the Link)
or just paste this:
Code:
open location (choose URL showing File servers with editable URL)
into ScriptEditor
Of course if it's the same Server every time - you might want to make an alias of the remote volume - and then just click that.

Just make an alias to the share once you connect and place it for easy access, like in the Finder toolbar or you can even place it in the start-up items in your user account. Then all you need to do is click once and authenticate or just authenticate if in the start-up items.
The browser is for discovery purposes, not repeatedly connecting to available servers.
Here is some info from Apple about using the Network Browser.
